The latest language I learned is Java. This programming language is very good, because you can create almost any Android application with it. Unfortunately, it was quite difficult for me to gather information from different websites when I was studying and that’s why I thought of writing an eBook
The idea
There are quite a few programming books in Hungary and a few that really focuses on the essence. Since I am a programmer and in principle have the ability to type for hours, I thought what if I tried my hand at writing books and blogs. This is how my small Medium blog, which you are reading right now, was born. Currently, I’m thinking about opening my own blog on my own domain but I still fight a huge war with the domain provider support team. Obviously, I can only write a professional book, I am not an accomplished story writer.
The first try — failure
As you might have guessed, I first tried to publish my book in Hungarian, as it is my mother tongue. Yes, that’s why you can’t understand anything from my English! So I wrote the book in Hungarian and uploaded it to the Google Play Books platform. I waited at least a year and a half before their customer service deigned to give me some kind of life phenomenon. Was my book accepted? Hell no! They couldn’t prove that I was the rightful owner of the book. I sent them the proof three times and they didn’t accept the book either! I was very frustrated, it is true that the book is under 100 pages, but I still struggled with it a lot. I did not partner with any publisher because my main goal with this book was not the income, but to be able to perform on the stage of writing.
The second try — bug
I tried to upload the book to my website, but apart from a couple of my Instagram followers, no one read it. That is why I decided to translate it to English & upload it to the Amazon Kindle platform through the Direct Publishing portal. I managed to add my book, but you have to enter an IBAN to continue even though the book is free. I gave it, but the website called it simply wrong. So the book stayed around my neck. This version’s cover:
Now what?
I have decided that I will help those who want to learn the basics of programming through the Java programming language no matter how I can’t publish the book. So if you want to get it, you can claim it for free on GumRoad with this coupon code: 5264ysu
Thanks for reading this article! Keep on coding!
